There's no kitchen, and outside food is welcome — grab a slice or something from the neighboring Cardiff market and post up on the patio with a fresh pour.
A neighborhood fixture since 2015, The Confessional runs a roughly two-dozen-tap system featuring core and rotating seasonal beers from the Lost Abbey family of brands. The setting is easygoing — a bar with stools, booths and high-tops inside, plus a faux-grass courtyard and small patio overlooking a play field.
It's not just for hardcore beer geeks, either: alongside the craft lineup you'll find gluten-free hard teas and non-alcoholic sparkling hop waters, so the whole group has something to sip. Dogs are welcome on the patio, making it a relaxed post-beach hangout.
